See Menu provides a digital menu and ordering platform for restaurants. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who can access it, and your rights. We are committed to handling your information responsibly and in line with Canadian privacy law.

Information we collect

When you place an order or use the platform, we may collect:

Your name
Your email address
Your phone number
Order details (items, quantities, notes, pickup/dine-in choice, pickup time)
The restaurant you selected
Technical and security data such as limited request information used to prevent abuse

Why we collect it

Processing and fulfilling your order
Verifying your contact details with a one-time code (OTP) by email or SMS
Letting the restaurant confirm and communicate about your order
Preventing fraudulent, fake, or abusive orders
Providing customer support
Maintaining platform security
Keeping legal and business records

Who can access your information

Access is limited to See Menu authorized administrators and the specific restaurant that receives your order. Restaurants can only view their own orders.

Third-party services

We use trusted service providers to operate the platform:

Supabase — database, authentication, and secure storage
Amazon SES — sending verification and notification emails
SignalWire — sending SMS notifications, where configured
Our hosting provider — running and delivering the platform
Stripe — payment processing, where applicable

Data retention

Customer order contact information is retained only as long as needed for order processing, support, fraud prevention, business records, and legal compliance. Older records may be deleted or anonymized.

Your rights

We do not sell your data

We do not sell your personal information. Marketing messages are only sent if you have given separate, optional consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
